Wheel-thrown toasty, lightly speckled clay layered with warm Sasquatch and forest underglaze transfers. In order to achieve the movement and coloration differential around the rim, a second glaze is applied. While I do try my best to make sure that it is applied lightly over areas of design, please understand that this technique is variable, and drips sometimes happen where they are unintended. This is part of the unique feature of a mug that has been hand crafted one at a time.
The transfers are applied when the clay is raw, and they become a permanent part of the clay during the first of two firings. Afterwards, two food safe glazes are applied to finish the mug.
